17 Minute ReadYour Skincare Horoscope for Aries Season: March 20-April 19

The clocks are about to go forward, the sun is shining in London (well, occasionally…) - spring is nearly here, Cherubs, and for this blog series that means only one thing: Aries season is upon us!
As the first sign in its cycle, Aries is kind of like the baby of the zodiac, although if you ever say this to their faces you might find yourself nursing a bruise or two (fair warning). If you know anything about them, you probably know that they’re meant to be ~ fiery ~, which makes sense – Aries is ruled by Mars, traditionally the planet of war, but in more modern terms is best understood as the planet of aggression, ambition, and drive. You can think of Mars and Venus as a pair: Venus, the planet of pleasure, is all about what you desire, and Mars is how you go about getting what you desire. So if you don’t know what your Mars and Venus are already, check them out now, and see how well the signs gel with each other, and with the planet’s own energies. (For instance, this Team Cupid member has her Venus in Cancer, and her Mars in Leo, which makes for a weird mix of emotional dependence and stubborn refusal to allow others to infringe on the way she lives her life. Fun!)
Aries is characterised by a huge amount of energy and initiative, so if you’ve been dilly-dallying about starting a new art project, picking up a new hobby, or even starting that TV show everyone you know has been telling you to watch, now is the time to give it a go. Don’t waste too much time in front of a screen, though, because this is really the time to go out and make things happen in your life – you’ll find that things just seem to fall into place for you. Meet new people! Ask someone on a date! Wear the most conversation-starting item in your wardrobe! This is the season for risks and rewards.
Still, there are some things to look out for as you zip around making new connections and getting ideas off the ground. Aries babies are notorious for starting but not finishing things – it’s not that you get bored, exactly, but you’re restless, and when everything seems so shiny and interesting it can be hard to just buckle down and see through a project or idea. Remember that darting from one thing to another might bring momentary pleasure and relief, but if you want to make something big, putting in the grunt work is an unavoidable part of the process. Everything comes back around, so you won’t be missing out by doubling down on one thing right now to get it finished. If you’re feeling particularly restless, try upping the amount of exercise you do to get out some of your excess energy – ideally something that involves throwing a few punches.
In a similar vein, Aries season can invite hasty decision-making, or reckless choices in the name of “just having fun”. There’s a difference between spontaneity and total abandonment, so try to figure out what that is this month. If you’re unsure about whether or not to do something, take a step back and mull it over for a night. Meditate! Journal! Think in a foreign language (it helps slow down your thoughts)!
And, of course, any fire sign runs the risk of picking fights when they feel threatened, or stifled, or - well, pretty much any time things aren’t going exactly their way. Try not to see the way other people live their lives as some kind of commentary on your own. Allow others to be different from you, and, if you need to engage in conflict, try to turn it into a constructive debate. Put yourself in someone else’s shoes and see if you can’t understand where they’re coming from - we’re all humans here, after all.
This Aries season sees a New Moon in Aries on March 28 – New Moons mark the beginning of a new cycle of manifestation and action, making it ideally aligned with Aries’ get-up-and-go energy. Also of note is Venus’s move into Taurus on April 16, where the planet is exalted; simply put, Venus likes being in Taurus, and it’ll show in your romantic relationships, which will achieve greater stability and strength during this time.
But how to match your skincare to that impulsive, fiery energy that Aries season brings to the world? Read on to find your perfect skincare match for 20 March through 19 April – and hopefully beyond!

Aries:
Happy solar return, Aries baby! The Sun is in your sign this month, giving your (already hefty) self-esteem a boost. Remember, confidence gets you everywhere (it just can’t make you hit the high notes in your favourite song at karaoke - sorry!)
Still, with Venus retrograde in Aries until April 12, a little cautiousness when it comes to your skin wouldn’t go amiss. Combined with the New Moon on March 28, think of this as a cosmic invitation to reset your beauty routine. Ditch the actives, focus on hydration and barrier repair, and use this time to nourish your skin from the inside out. Eat plenty of berries, drink more water, and remember to take off your makeup before bedtime – even if bedtime happens to be 4am.

Cleanser
Now that you’re going back to basics with your skincare, start from scratch with MIXSOON’s Centella Cleansing Water. Super gentle and loaded with Centella Asiatica, everyone’s favourite skin soother, this cleansing water removes makeup and soothes redness – Team Cupid actually used this product as our in-store makeup remover during our December pop-up in London, and we can confirm that despite swiping it over our hands multiple times a day to remove samples, it doesn’t cause any irritation.
Toner
Even Venus retrograde can’t disrupt the soothing effects of THE LAB’s Oligo Hyaluronic Acid Deep Toner (200ml), which clinical tests have shown to boost your skin’s inner moisture levels by up to 191%. The star of the formula is – unsurprisingly – everyone’s favourite hydrating powerhouse, low-molecular-weight Hyaluronic Acid, which is supported by Panthenol and Allantoin to soothe irritation and encourage barrier repair.
Serum
As the first sign in the zodiac cycle, and a cardinal sign (making you one of the four trendsetters of the zodiac), it’s only right that you’d want to be ahead of the curve…may we suggest this Vitamin Illuminating Serum from our new brand, EQQUALBERRY? The unique formula combines Vitamin C and other synergistic brightening ingredients with Ceramides, providing both a radiance boost and barrier care in one bottle.
SPF
With Venus in retrograde for much of your birthday season this year, it’s wise to exercise a little caution when it comes to your skincare. With that in mind, we recommend I’M FROM’s Rice Sunscreen – not only is it SPF 50+ PA++++ rated and loaded with 41% nutrient-rich Goami Rice Extract, but it’s also a mineral sunscreen, making it safe for all skin types, and even expecting mothers.
Taurus:
Taurus, you know that you’d rather be lying in bed daydreaming about your next furniture purchase for your apartment than doing pretty much anything else, so it’s lucky that this Aries season gives you license to prioritise rest and renewal. The partial solar eclipse on 29 March falls in your sector of solitude, urging you to indulge in self-care rituals that help you recharge your batteries for your upcoming birthday season. Meanwhile, Mars is in your wellness sector from April 1, which will help you get serious and be consistent with your skincare routine. Anything that requires a little more effort than usual – overnight masks, beauty devices, multi-step products – now’s the time to step away from your blanket fort and try them out.

Skincare that works while you sleep? It’s every Taurus’s dream! This Aries season, try out SKIN1004’s Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Sleep Pack after a busy (or not-so-busy) day. Powered by the brand’s Hyalu-Cica Complex, which blends Hyaluronic Acid and Centella Asiatica, it soothes and locks in moisture while you sleep, while Niacinamide, Hibiscus Flower Extract, and Adenosine work to brighten and plump your complexion overnight. The formula even contains Melatonin, the hormone secreted during the deepest parts of your sleep cycle, to encourage you to drift off after applying it!
Gemini:
Gemini, Aries season is going to activate your social sector - so what else is new, huh? Still, things are going to be even busier than they usually are when it comes to your social calendar, and you’re going to want to make sure you’re comfortable in your skin while you’re zipping from work to date to party. With that in mind, the Mercury retrograde from 14 March to 7 April could lead to some mishaps communication-wise, so make sure to double-check the ingredients in any new skincare you add to your routine to avoid any reactions. Meanwhile, the partial solar eclipse on 29 March may bring an exciting shift to your already-exciting social life, and you’re going to want to look your best for any new beginnings. Incorporate brightening serums, vitamin C, and SPF to keep your skin radiant, or try spritzing on a hydrating mist before an event to give your skin an extra glow.

You can’t get simpler than one ingredient! MIXSOON’s Vitamin C powder, made to be mixed with a skincare product of your choice, contains pure, undiluted Ascorbic Acid to stimulate collagen production, fade hyperpigmentation, and protect skin against free-radical damage – ideal for the month of socialising ahead of you.
Cancer:
Cancer, nobody needs to remind you to avoid impulsive decisions – you’re much more likely to stew for a year over some offhand comment someone made to you before finally confronting them about it - by which point they’ve totally forgotten what you’re talking about. (Cancer Sun here 💅). If anything, let some of the devil-may-careness of Aries season trickle into your daily routine! Your career and public image are also in the spotlight this month, which should inspire confidence rather than caution. You don’t need to take risks, but it’s a good time to experiment with more luxe formulations and treatments. As Mercury retrogrades, you may experience stress-related breakouts – keep calm, focus on calming ingredients, and remember that there are more important things to worry about in the great scheme of things, anyway.
Your Korean skincare recommendation for Aries season
Let the spirit of Aries season into your skincare routine by trying something new and experimental – what about MEDICUBE’s Deep Vita C Capsule Cream? Looking like a package full of boba pearls, this next-gen Vitamin C cream contains Vitamin C capsules suspended in a transparent gel full of skin-brightening ingredients, making it both fun to use and incredibly effective.
Leo:
Adventure calls this season, Leo! With Aries energy igniting your sense of exploration – talk about your extrovert double-whammy – your skin may be exposed to different climates and environments. Combined with the partial solar eclipse on 29 March pushing you toward a new start, it’s likely you’ll end up travelling – make sure to pack lightweight, hydrating products and a hard-hitting SPF to protect against sun exposure. On 30 March, Neptune moves into Aries for the first time in over 150 years, inspiring bold, instinctive action and raw creativity, so whether you’re in Nottingham or Nepal, you may feel the urge to experiment with some new or DIY skincare. Just make sure to do a patch test first – astrology, sadly, doesn’t protect against allergic reactions.

Presenting VT COSMETICS’s Reedle Shot 50, which contains microneedling technology to gently exfoliate dead skin cells, remove impurities from pores, and open up absorption pathways in your skin, maximising the ability of active ingredients to penetrate deeper into your dermis, where they are more effective. You might experience a slight tingling sensation upon application, but that’s normal - and, indeed, all part of the adventure.
Virgo:
Virgo, you’re probably still processing major personal revelations from the total lunar eclipse in your sign on 13 March – now that you’ve had a little time to work things through, consider looking at your skincare routine in a new light, too? This is an ideal time for a deep cleanse – detox your products, switch to cleaner ingredients, and embrace a minimalist approach. Mercury retrograde may cause disruptions, which only emphasises the need to pare down your routine: when life is complicated, keep your skincare simple.
Your Korean skincare recommendation for Aries season
Keep your skin bright, tight, and hydrated during this transformative time with NACIFIC’s Fresh Herb Origin Serum – packed with fruit extracts and botanical oils, all rich in nutrients and antioxidants, it helps to boost radiance and protect skin from environmental damage, while keeping moisture levels balanced. Meanwhile, Sepicalm and Pore Complex-3 work in tandem to reduce congestion on the skin, eliminating any bacteria trapped in pores to give the skin a tighter appearance. When your serum is doing all this, you can afford to keep the rest of your routine simple.
Libra:
It’s a powerful season for you, Libra – although Aries couldn’t be more different from you in some respects (you’re a peacemaker, Aries is a conflict-o-phile), you are sister signs for a reason. Plus, you’re both cardinal signs, meaning you both lead the pack when it comes to the two signs that follow you. Sometimes it’s good to play it safe, though – and because your ruling planet, Venus, is retrograde in Aries until 12 April, you can expect some sensitivity, dullness, or unexpected breakouts. Stick with lightweight, hydrating products that will keep your skin calm and balanced until you’re back on an even keel.
Your Korean skincare recommendation for Aries season
Tackle breakouts gently with MEDICUBE’s Zero Pore Madecassoside Pads Mild, which deliver gentle yet thorough pore care. PHA, a mild exfoliant, reduces the appearance of pores, brightens skin tone, smooths texture, and boosts hydration (the ultimate overachiever), while anti-inflammatory Panthenol and Madecassoside, the formula also soothes redness and boosts moisture levels, helping to relieve skin sensitivity.
Scorpio:
This Aries season, Scorpio, your daily routine and wellness habits are going to be taking centre stage, making this the ideal time to build up a consistent skincare regimen. The solar eclipse on March 29 may inspire new approaches to self-care, but with Venus retrograde right now, don’t rush into trendy products or harsh treatments. You love to delve beneath the surface, so why not focus on detoxifying products to pull out any impurities from your skin? Mars in your health sector supports discipline, so use this energy to create a routine that nourishes both your complexion and your mind.
Your Korean skincare recommendation for Aries season
One of Team Cupid’s favourite clay masks, MOLVANY’s Mugwort Heating Therapy Pack is the perfect way to treat congested pores and uneven skin tone this season. Some clay masks can be harsh and stripping on skin, but not this one – it contains Mugwort Leaf Powder to soothe inflammation and breakouts, purify pores, and enhance resilience against harmful external factors, along with skin-softening Glycerin and Jojoba Seed Oil to encourage a more supple complexion.
Sagittarius:
Sagittarius, Aries season will energise your fifth house of creativity, romance, and self-expression, so your artistic energy will be on fire (rimshot) this season. This makes it the perfect time to take creative risks, dive into a new romance, or indeed have fun with your skincare, especially experimenting with playful beauty looks - a bold lip colour or a shimmering eye palette, perhaps?
Ruled by Jupiter, the planet of growth, expansion, and abundance, you’re normally happiest when travelling – ideally on a flight you booked the day before, to a country you barely knew existed a week ago. This Aries season, however, Venus’s retrograde in Pisces will find you drawn back towards childhood comforts and nostalgia for the past. In between all the creativity and romance, take some time to indulge in self-care rituals while you consider your current emotional needs. You know what they say – even cowgirls get the blues.

Combine comfort and colour with DASIQUE’s Melting Candy Balm, a vibrant, high-shine, hydrating lip balm that comes in 6 different shades. The moisture-rich formula, enhanced with Jojoba Seed Oil and Argan Kernel Oil – helps to plump lips and relieve dryness, while also leaving behind a splash of vivid, mood-lifting colour.
Capricorn:
Normally, Capricorn, you’re the only sign that can make a Virgo look like a slacker, but this Aries season is inviting you to close your laptop and focus on your inner world. Activating your fourth house of home, family, and emotional well-being, you’re turning your gaze away from your work emails and towards those nearest and dearest to you. Match this energy with soothing skincare and self-care – especially ahead of the partial Solar Eclipse in Aries on 29 March, which may cause major shifts in your home life and sense of emotional security. Later in the month, the full moon in Libra will illuminate your 10th house of career and public image, resulting in a realisation in your professional life. It’s a good time to assess how your work-life balance is impacting your overall wellbeing, and how to make more space for downtime in your daily routine. During this time of revelations and introspection, stick to nourishing and restorative products that contain ingredients like Ceramides, Oat, Squalane, or Lavender.

We dare you not to do anything else while you’re wearing DR. ALTHEA’s Herb Therapy Velvet Mask. Designed to replenish skin moisture levels and revitalise your complexion with plant extracts, this sheet mask contains Squalane, Chamomile Extract, Licorice Extract, and Ceramides, to moisture, soothe, and fortify the skin’s protective barrier. Put down your phone, put on this mask, and lie on your bed to daydream for 15 minutes. Doesn’t that feel better?
Aquarius:
Aquarius, Neptune is moving into Aries for the first time in more than a century this month, heightening your intuition and creativity and giving you the motivation to get some of your more out-there ideas off the ground. Listen to your instincts – whatever they’re telling you is probably right. Now is the time to trust your ability to read between the lines, so pay attention to what your skin is telling you – it may need extra hydration, nourishment, or protection.
With the Sun in Aries also lighting up your communication sector, you’re going to be experiencing a double-dose of mental energy and inspiration. Just watch out for the Mercury retrograde until 7 April – feel free to run with your ideas and instincts, but always double-check the details. Coupled with the new-start energy of the partial Solar Eclipse on 29 March and Mars, which governs motivation and self-discipline, moving into your daily routine sector from 1 April, now is a great time to clean up all aspects of your wellness habits. Maybe consider switching to eco-friendly, cruelty-free, or minimal-waste beauty products that align with your humanitarian values?

The perfect fusion of luxury and effectiveness, ONGREDIENTS’ Perfect Melting Cleansing Balm is your ultimate one-step solution to effortlessly remove makeup and impurities while indulging your skin, with a delightful melting sherbet texture that glides on smoothly to dissolve even the toughest waterproof makeup, blackheads, and excess sebum with ease. Enriched with a blend of Argan Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, and Sunflower Seed Oil, this nourishing balm is also cruelty-free and vegan, making it good for both your skin and your conscience.
Pisces:
Pisces, Aries season shifts your focus to self-worth, values, and how you take care of yourself, and this extends to your skin. With Venus retrograde in Aries until April 12, you may find yourself rethinking your beauty standards – what makes you feel truly radiant and confident? This retrograde encourages you to practice self-love and embrace your natural beauty, rather than chasing trends or making impulsive changes. If you’ve been considering an overhaul of your skincare routine, take it slow, research products thoroughly, and prioritise nourishment over experimentation.
The partial solar eclipse on 29 March activates your financial sector, which could lead to some splurging on luxury skincare, but be mindful – Mercury retrograde from March 14 to April 7 means not all purchases will be worth it. Your intuitive nature is heightened now, so listen to your skin’s needs – does it crave extra hydration, soothing ingredients, or a little detox?
With Neptune (your ruling planet) forming key aspects this season, your dreams and emotions will be deeply connected to your well-being, and this includes your skin. You might find that your complexion reacts more strongly to stress, lack of sleep, or emotional ups and downs. Journaling, meditation, and relaxation rituals can help bring balance. By the end of Aries season, as Venus moves direct, you’ll feel more in tune with what truly makes you glow – and we’re talking about more than just skincare.
Your Korean skincare recommendation for Aries season
Pisces, you have a stronger connection to the world of dreams than anything other sign, so why not try skincare designed to work while you sleep? NACIFIC’s Phyto Niacin Brightening Sleeping Mask features a familiar cast of moisturising powerhouses, including seven types of Hyaluronic Acid, Ceramides, and Centella Asiatica, along with highly concentrated Niacinamide, to brighten and soothe dull or breakout-prone skin overnight.
